Privacy Policy

1. Information you give us

• Account details. When you sign in — with a one-time email link or with Google — we receive your email address and, from Google, your name and basic profile information. We use this only to create and secure your account.
• Property information. The Airbnb listing URLs you paste, the listing details we read from those public pages (property name, room counts, listing photos, the public description), any addresses you add, and the checklists you build or edit.
• Cleaning records. Photos, notes and completion status submitted by the cleaners you share a link with, and the reports generated from them.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, we see your message, and — on WhatsApp — your phone number.

2. Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Pages viewed, features used and actions taken in the product, so we can understand what works and fix what doesn’t.
• Device and log data. IP address, browser type, and timestamps, kept for security and troubleshooting.
• Cookies and local storage. Used to keep you signed in, remember your language, and measure product usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Google user data

When you choose “Continue with Google”, we use Google Sign-In (OpenID Connect) to authenticate you. Google shares three pieces of information with us, corresponding to the “openid”, “email” and “profile” scopes shown on Google’s consent screen: your email address, your name, and the URL of your Google profile picture. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, your contacts, or any other Google service.

We use this data for one purpose only: to create and secure your Cleanxiety account and to display your name in the product. We store it as your account record with our database provider (Supabase — see section 5). We keep only the profile-picture URL, not a copy of the image. This data is deleted when you delete your account, as described in section 7.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to anyone except the infrastructure providers listed in section 5 that operate the service on our behalf. Cleanxiety’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review or revoke Cleanxiety’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. How we use your data

• To provide the product: draft checklists, generate share links, and produce cleaning reports.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To communicate with you about your account and support requests.
• To monitor, debug and improve the product.
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that run parts of our service, under contracts that limit them to that purpose:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Sentry — error monitoring.
• Cloudflare — domain, DNS, and email routing for our contact address.
• Google — sign-in, when you use it.
• Anthropic — processes listing text to draft and review checklists. Listing content is sent for this purpose; it is not used to train their models.

6. Cleaners and shared links

A checklist share link opens without an account so your cleaner can use it on their phone. Anyone with the link can view that property’s checklist and submit a cleaning against it. Treat the link like a key: share it only with people you want cleaning your property, and ask us to rotate it if it is exposed.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete a property, its checklist and reports are deleted. You can delete your whole account from the Account screen, or by emailing us at hello@cleanxiety.com; when you do, we remove your personal data — including the data received from Google — within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.

8. Your rights

You can access and correct most of your data directly in the product. You can delete individual properties from their settings, and delete your whole account from the Account screen, which removes your data as described above. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to a copy of your data, to object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. 9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Photo storage buckets are private and served through short-lived signed links. Access to production data is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep this one safe.

10. International transfers

Cleanxiety is operated from Montréal, Québec, Canada. Our providers may process and store data in other countries, including the United States. Where personal data of people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Children

Cleanxiety is for adults managing rental properties. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the product. Continuing to use Cleanxiety after a change means you accept the updated policy.
